About Claire
Claire Christine Sargenti is a double Sagittarius with a Scorpio Moon, although she identifies more with her Vedic birth sign of the snakebearing Ophiuchus.
As an interdisciplinary artist, Claire is largely inspired by the intersectional feminist movement and works primarily with her signature colors of black, white and pink. Her work has been seen at the New Orleans Museum of Art, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, as well as in galleries, digital spaces and print publications across the world. She is the creator of the world’s largest spinning vulva sculpture and occasionally moonlights as a street artist under the pseudonym PALEO. Some of her favorite pieces include the Noble Moon Tarot Deck & Grimoire, Vagina Book, Pussy for President and Let Love Be Viral.
Her artwork has raised funds for multiple charities and nonprofits including The Nature Conservancy, Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response, Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, Planned Parenthood and Doctors Without Borders.
